Union Movement

Unions play an important role in representing and advocating for the rights of workers in the workplace.

Young Labor is passionate about ensuring that the rights of young workers are also protected within the workplace which is why it was active during the Your Rights at Work campaign of 2007.

Young workers are often not equipped to negotiate adequately for their rights and conditions within the workplace which is why Young Labor vehemently opposed John Howard’s WorkChoices legislation and is actively campaigning for an end to youth wages.

Young Labor actively supports and assists with union activities.
